Summer Camps: Ages 8-10

We are looking forward to a safe, fun, and creative summer at Arlington Arts Center! Campers will go on an artistic journey and explore the visual arts through exciting projects in 2D and 3D media while learning about new and different artistic techniques and contemporary artists working in the world today! Campers at AAC may even get the chance to tour AAC’s art galleries and create works inspired by what they see. Camps are offered for ages 5-7, 8-10, 11-14, and 14-18.

Important Info:

  • AAC provides complimentary Before & After Care for in-person camps. Before Care begins at 9am for students enrolled in morning camps. After Care ends at 5pm for students enrolled in afternoon camps.
  • Supervised lunch break is available for students enrolled in *both* morning and afternoon camps. Students participating in AAC’s supervised lunch must bring their own nut-free bagged lunch. We will have lunch outside when weather permits.
  • Students who participate in AAC classes and camps must be fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination.
  • Students, staff, parents, and instructors are required to wear masks covering their nose and mouth at all times.
  • Temperatures will be checked upon arrival and students will be asked to use hand sanitizer before joining class.
  • Covid protocols are subject to change.
  • Supplies are included in the cost of all children and teen classes.
  • Cost of each week-long in-person camp is $265. Cost of each week-long online camp is $130.

About Online Camps:

All interactive online camps will be taught via Zoom by one of our talented instructors. Each session will run for an hour and a half. We have found that this length of time is perfect for art making and to ensure campers are fully engaged the entire time. Virtual camps will be recorded for internal use only.

A unique art supply kit will be included in the cost of each online camp to be picked up at AAC the week prior. Kits will include all specialty materials your child will need for this camp. A few basic items will not be included in the supply kits. Please make sure you have a regular drawing pencil, scissors, and scratch paper for sketching on hand (printer paper works perfectly for this purpose).
